Flammkuchen
Flammkuchen, also called tarte flambée, is a dish that originated in Alsace. To test whether the wood ovens were hot enough, a thin slice of bread dough was placed on the bottom of the oven. Later, the dough was invested, initially with crème fraiche, bacon and onion.
I add goat cheese and honey to it and find that a very good combination.
